Subject: UMass Researchers Seeking Anthracnose

Anthracnose request
I am collaborating with Dr. Nathaniel Mitkowski (URI) on an anthracnose study and I need to collect isolates of the pathogen, Colletotrichum graminicola. If you are planning on attending the Turf Disease and Summer Stress Twilight Seminar scheduled in South Deerfield Thursday, July 31st, please bring specimens. Alternatively, if you have anthracnose call me and I will give you a UPS account number so that you can send it next-day mail. The sample should include roots so that we can keep it alive for a week or more. Send specimens to:
